Music's biggest night, the Grammy Awards, is also one of beauty's biggest nights — and 2023's red carpet does not disappoint. The show, hosted by Trevor Noah, promises performances and appearances from Lizzo, Harry Styles, Cardi B, and so many more of our favorite beauty icons. And that can only mean one thing for certain: the 2023 Grammys will be a guaranteed melting pot of coloful makeup, inventive hairstyles, and hyper-trendy manicures.
So, naturally, we're keeping up with the best hair, makeup, and nail looks from the 2023 Grammy Awards as the night goes on. Keep scrolling for the night's best beauty looks from our favorite celebrities.
Laverne Cox

One of the first to walk the red carpet, Laverne Cox started the night out right with gold everything, including metallic lips with deep brown liner, a cat-eye created with gold foil, and cheekbones highlighted to the gods — all to match her golden-blonde braids and gilded accessories by hairstylist Kiyah Wright.
"I started by creating three ponytails in the back and doing a French braid to give the back a little texture and creativity," Wright said in a press release about Cox's hair. "I wanted it to look very high fashion, so I added a little texture and did a double-strand twist braid on each side of her head to frame the face." To make the braids both glossy and keep them in place, Wright reached for Fekkai's Brilliant Gloss Glass Hair Anti-Frizz Oil Serum and Clean Stylers Flexi-Hold Hairspray.

Singer and Best Dance Song nominee Bebe Rexha paired a modern Barbiecore gown with 1970s hair — specifically, a Farrah Fawcett-inspired blowout by hairstylist Cesar Delon Ramirez, who achieved the look on a wig using Unite Hair products. "To start, I applied Blow & Set Lotion on our damp Wildform Wig hair to set and hold the shape," Ramirez explained in a press release. “Using a small ceramic round brush, I dried and smoothed out each section. "Once dry, I sprayed TEX Spray to the root area for volume and grip."
Rexha kept the makeup, a black cat eye with orchid-pink blush, classic so as not to compete with such a dramatic hairstyle.

One of the biggest show-stoppers of the night, Lizzo shut down the red carpet with a look comprised of orange everything: orange makeup, orange nails, and an orange gown. Lizzo's wet hair moment came courtesy of hairstylist Shelby Swain, who used Sebastian Professional Dark Oil shampoo and conditioner to prep Lizzo's hair before applying the brand's Dark Oil and Mousse Forte. She then used Harry Josh Pro Tools's Cordless Flatiron and Ceramic Cordless Curling Wand to create shape, then placed the finishing curl and sprayed it with Sebastian Professional Shaper Plus Hairspray.
The pièce de resistance of the whole look, though, is undoubtedly the manicure, a long stiletto-shaped set covered in massive, three-dimensional roses to match the ones on her cape. Eri Ishizu, Lizzo's go-to nail artist, created the look using OPI products — primarily, the brand's Nail Lacquer in Silicon Valley Girl.

Shania Twain showed up at the Grammys in a look we've certainly never seen on her in the past: a neon-red wig with blunt-cut bangs, the lipstick to match, and a massive, graphic cat eye. Man, she must feel like a woman.
Naturally, Taylor Swift infused her go-to hair and makeup with a Midnights theme. To pair with her deep-blue glittering gown, she wore a classic cat-eye in shimmering silver and navy hues with — what else? — a bright red matte lip.
Mary J. Blige, if you wanted to slap us in the face with that white-blonde ponytail, we wouldn't mind — in fact, we might even say thank you. The singer worked with hairstylist Tym Wallace, who used Fekkai Blonde Rx Brightening Oil to keep that white-blonde hair toned and smooth when pulling it back into the ponytail. To create the soft waves, Wallace used a 1-inch waver and a 1-inch flatiron.
No notes whatsoever on this Grammys look, however, we'll be waiting patiently for a closer look at those glittering talons of yours.

Pretty In Pink is the name of the game for Kacey Musgraves, who arrived at the award ceremony in a pastel pink gown and feathered cape with coordinating eyes, cheeks, lips, and nails. “In honor of tonight's celebration, I wanted to give Kacey an angelic all-over glow,” makeup artist Moani Lee said in a press statement. "We wanted her skin to glow from within and her eyes to have a baby-soft pink whisper of color. We gave her a little edge with a soft smoke and dramatic fluffy lashes. We finished off with a powdery buffed out matte nude pink lip."

Lourdes Leon, the daughter of a little-known pop artist named Madonna, wore red from head to toe at the 2023 Grammy Awards. To pair with her Jessica Rabbit-esque gown, she wore a glossy combination of red and burgundy lipsticks (YSL's Rouge Pur Couture The Bold Lipstick in Revenged Red and Undeniable Plum.)
Cardi B might have appeared on the red carpet with half of her face covered, but not even that could distract us from her graphic blue winged eyeliner applied by her right-hand makeup artist, Erika La'Pearl. As usual, she used Pat McGrath Labs products to paint Cardi's face — that includes the brand's PermaGel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil in Xtreme Black, FetishEyes Mascara, and select shades from the Mthrshp: Velvet Liaison and Mothership I: Subliminal palettes.
H.E.R.

As she almost always does, H.E.R. brought the classics to the Grammys. Her thick black eyeliner and matte red lip were the perfect pairs for her perpetually stunning and voluminous curls.
Megan Fox never leaves the house without an eye-catching manicure, and her Grammys look was no exception to that rule. She partnered up with nail artist Brittney Boyce, who gave her a 14-Karat white gold manicure using Aprés Nail GelX Extensions to create a mold for the manicure's long stiletto shape.

Do we even need to point out the highlight of Paris Hilton's beauty look? Obviously, it's that hair, achieved by hairstylist Eduardo Ponce. "I prepped Paris's hair with Fekkai Clean Stylers Straight Balm before blow drying. Once dry, I straightened her hair and used the Brilliant Gloss Glass Hair Anti-Frizz Oil Serum in between sections," he said in a press statement. "I created a half-up style using Clean Stylers Glossing Cream+ to mold and create her top knot."
